General Assembly of A.A.C.E.E. was held in Barcelona from September 25 to 27, 2026, and was hosted by the Symbolic Grand Lodge of Spain.
Among the key results of the meeting was the adoption of the Educational Program "Masonic Studies" for the membership of Obedience A.A.C.E.E. and the selection of a working group for its implementation. The proposal of the Internal Rulebook was also considered, which the delegates will finally declare at the next meeting.
The initiative to launch a long-term Masonic University project was also supported. It was agreed that members of the A.A.C.E.E. propose candidates for the academic task force — university professors, researchers and other professionals in higher education, whether or not they are members of the Masonic faith.
The Colloquium "Europe at the Crossroads: Ethics and Democracy in a Fragmented World" was held as part of the meeting, marked by an open discussion and exchange of suggestions.
The concluding message of the Colloquium was that the answer to European fragmentation must rest on freedom, reason, solidarity and the preservation of values — and that these values should be lived, transmitted and defended, not just emphasized in declarations. Democracy is not reduced to elections: it requires the rule of law, free media, accountable institutions and the willingness to listen to those who think differently. AACEE should be an area of dialogue and cooperation, and Central and Eastern Europe an equal participant in shaping the future of Europe.
After the Colloquium, the Ritual Work was held, led by M.W. No. Brenno Ambrosini, Grand Master of the Symbolic Grand Lodge of Spain. A.A.C.E.E. sends special thanks to the hosts for their exceptional hospitality and organization of the gathering.
